Research conducted by an Italian historian and novelist based in Hong Kong. Angelo Paratico, mentions that Leonardo Da Vinci's mother who is the subject of the painting 'Mona Lisa' may be a slave from China.
Paratico's new book, 'Leonardo Da Vinci: A Chinese Scholar Lost in Renaissance Italy' (Leonardo Da Vinci: Losing China Scholars in the Renaissance Italy).
Daily Mail reported, that the book will be published next year, which Paratico will reveal Da Vinci's relations with the Far East region.
He who has spent 20 years in Hong Kong believed that the artists are from Asia.
"I believe that Leonardo's mother came from the East.
"But to make sure she comes from China, we need to use deductive method," he said.
Paratico also highlighted several other factors that indicate Da Vinci is Chinese.
"Among other things, he also writes from left to right using his left hand and also a vegetarian.
"Mona Lisa might be the portrait of his mother, as it said by Sigmund Freud in 1910. The painting was against the background of China, even her face also has the characteristics of a Chinese women," said Paratico.
