Shanghai: A 28-year-old woman who came from Zhengzhou, Henan, arrived in the city last week to seek cosmetic surgery after she was diagnosed with rare diseases which cause her to look much older.
After giving birth to her first child 11 years ago, Hu Juan's face changeg, she aged faster than it should be.
Although only 28 years old, her face look like she is 60 or maybe 70 years older, Xinhua news agency reported.
Hu were diagnosed as skin disorder called Cutis Laza.
The disease causes the skin to become loose, loosely and wrinkled. It only occurs on the face and neck Hu.
Less than 10 people are diagnosed with the disease in the world and Hu were the only people in China who face the disease, Xinhua said.
So far, there is no effective treatment, but plastic surgery can help.
Over 11 years ago, her husband was always with her and never complained about seeing his wife's face turned into a grandmother.
Hu also refrain from leaving the house or look in the mirror. And lately, she realized his son began to distance himself and embarrassed to tell her others she is his mother.
A clinic in Shanghai are willing to help, but doctors are far less confident with the results to be achieved.
